Our Trainers

Robbie Llewellyn

Overtown Farm, Wroughton, Swindon, Wiltshire, SN4 0SH

Robbie is a young forward-thinking trainer who we are delighted to be teaming up with. Starting in racing from a young age, he has crafted his skill as a horseman.

After a successful stint pony racing and riding in point to points, whilst working for top National Hunt trainers in Wales, he became an assistant trainer for David Brace OBE. A fantastic five seasons as an assistant, resulted in Mr Brace winning the champion owner award in Great Britain for the 13/14 & 14/15 seasons.

Gaining his trainer’s license in 2022, Robbie showed to great affect his training talent, when taking Loup De Maulde from an official rating of 92 to 125 and winning four times throughout the season. The horse won over £30,000 in prize money that season, which also highlights Robbie’s ability to place horses in the correct races.

We look forward to this partnership and welcoming you to Overtown Farm, to see our horses.

Samuel Drinkwater

The Granary, Twyning Road, Upper Strensham, Worcestershire, WR8 9HL

Sam, a relatively fresh face to the training scene has already proved his ability to train race horses having tasted success at Cheltenham, in his first month as a licensed trainer.

Having been involved in racing as long as he remembers, Sam has ridden over 100 winners as an amateur jockey winning at Cheltenham three times, but he was unfortunately forced to retire from the saddle after a serious injury. Having worked under many of the UK’s leading National Hunt trainers, Sam combines the techniques he observed to create his own results-driven training methods.
